Landscaping Design

Ruse

When our client hadn’t been down the back of their property in 15 years, Bloom landscaping was brought in to make the most of this space and create an area where the client could wander and explore.

Being on a cliff face edge, we needed to ensure that the natural beauty of the property was kept at top priority.

Spotted gum timber decking paths wind down past the scribbly gums and man made rock waterfalls. The water flows underneath roped off bridges over the river rocks, the trickling sounds adding to the tranquil feel of the landscape.

Carefully placed lighting accentuates the different textures and materials.

Plant selection was extremely important to keep the look authentic, plants included philodendron xanadu, cordalines, lomandra tanikas and dicksonia squarrosa (New Zealand ferns).

2 seperate retreat areas were created – a lounge and viewing platform, and an entertaining area at the far bottom of the property.
