This family approached us with a view towards their changing circumstances, with children who are now young adults. The focus for this property was to provide a fun, modern look and feel, with low maintenance requirements so that this family can spend more quality time enjoying each other’s company and entertaining.

A large covered entertaining space becomes the focus for the backyard, providing a BBQ and dining area, as well as lounge space for that all important outdoor living

experience. With lighting, fan, fireplace, television and audio, this space will be used throughout the seasons.

With the pool positioned along the boundary, this becomes a beautiful and inviting accompaniment to the entertaining space without taking focus from the true purpose of this families space.

The striking use of planting including phormium black rage, acacia limelight and festuca glauca provide low maintenance, modern accents in keeping with the brief for this project.
