When these clients wanted a private family oasis with personalised touches, they knew Bloom Design and Landscaping were the team to take a small space and make it great.

The clever use of levelling and retaining walls create private, cosy spaces thoughout the backyard that are perfect for entertaining in large or small groups. Intelligent perimeter planting not only provides privacy from the neighbours, but a feeling of seclusion and a private oasis, further enhanced by the interior selections to soften the separation between zones. Maintaining a clear line of sight to the pool from every aspect keeps the kids safe while the parents relax.

The tiling along the waterline in the pool is reflective of the splashback in the outdoor kitchen, capturing the feel this family were after and expanding this throughout the entire project - a subtle nod to that holiday feeling. Locating the firepit and seating at the rear of the grassed area gives extra space for the kids to run around and play, while providing another angle from which to enjoy this tranquil space.

Plants were carefully selected by our design and horticulturist team, including bamboo for fast screening, Star Jasmine, philodendron xanadu, dichondra silver falls, agave and franjipani. These plantings further compliment the beautiful stone and timber selections.

Stepping stones through the lawn between the pool and the decking in the entertainment area not only add interest but are a practical addition.
